Clupak paper creping module
Special types of paper finishing include creping and microcreping operations, which consist in changing the structure of the paper with the addition of folds to its surface that are noticeable during creping and less noticeable during microcreping.
At the same time, the paper acquires increased elongation when it is stretched (up to 17%), i.e., the ability to stretch under load without breaking.
Crepe paper is used for decorative and sanitary-hygienic purposes (labels, toilet paper and towels), as well as as a packaging material (bags, packets).
The built-in paper microcreping unit "KLUPAK" is mounted in the drying part of the paper machine.
The main parts of the installation:
• Chromium-plated drying cylinder, heated by steam, to ensure satisfactory sliding of the paper;
• Continuous thick rubber fabric with correct, tension and driven shafts;
• Non-rotating pressure shaft with a pneumatic supply and separation system;
• Remote control;
• Cooling and lubrication system.
Brief description of the process.
The paper web under the rubber band is pressed against the drying cylinder (the clamping distance is less than the offset one) and when it enters under the clamping shaft, it is stretched and then forcibly shrinks, as a result of which microcrepe (microfolds that are difficult to distinguish with the naked eye) are formed on its surface, which provides increased elongation when the paper is stretched without a break
The main technical data of the "KLUPAK" installation:
• Speed of work, up to: 1.200 m/min.;
• Paper width, up to: 7.500 mm.;
• Elongation of paper when stretched, up to: 17%.
Depending on the mutual arrangement of the drying cylinder and the continuous rubber sheet (with a group of leading shafts), two types of "CLUPAK" construction are made - "Top CLUPAK" (upper arrangement of the rubber sheet) and "Reversed CLUPAK" (lower arrangement of the rubber sheet).
