Press Pick-Up
Paper pressing is the final process of mechanical water removal in a paper machine. At the same time, the volumetric mass, strength properties, transparency increase, and the porosity and absorbent capacity of the paper decrease. Pressing is performed between woolen cloths, which protect the still weak paper from destruction, absorb the squeezed moisture and simultaneously transport the cloth.
For this purpose, a number of presses (with one or more pressing zones) are used, which, in the necessary combination, form the pressing part. The optimal configuration of the press part is determined by the productivity of the machine, its speed (including the method of refueling the machine), the type of output and the method of replacing the cloth and rolls.
Presses of the Pick-uP type are installed at the beginning of the pressing zone and are designed to transfer the paper web from the mesh part of the machine to its pressing part.
This one, presented by BASALAN Press, includes 2 press shafts of the type with blind holes.
